General Description
The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining clean cookware and overall cleanliness in all Back of House / Kitchen areas.
Responsibilities
- Complete opening side work checklist for shift daily
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas : dry storage, walk-in cooler, freezers, paper good storage, chemical storage, beverage storage, trash room, and any other storage areas
- Maintain cleanliness of all stoves, grill and shawarma areas by emptying trash, sweeping and mopping floors and staircases
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restrooms
- Dispose of all trash, cardboard, etc. as needed throughout shift
- Empty trash cans from all kitchen and service areas throughout the shift
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of small wares, food containers and cooking equipment
- Clean the oil machine and change oil in fryer
- Complete basic prep responsibilities, as directed by the Kitchen Manager
- Complete closing side work checklist for shift daily
- Inform the Kitchen Manager immediately of any DOH or OSHA / workplace safety violations
- Complete other duties as assigned by the management team
Requirements
- The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction
- The ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis
- The ability to bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive walking for 8-10 hours a day
- The ability to withstand exposure to high volume of business and the movement, noise and temperature extremes associated with a busy kitchen
- The ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
- Able to work your scheduled shift, as well as variable schedule, per the needs of the business
- Maintains general knowledge of restaurant, location, transportation, management team, etc.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings
- Complete other duties as assigned by Management
