We are currently seeking a full-time Solar Programs Project Manager II to join our Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) team.

As a member of the DERs Department, you will assist with driving customer participationin programs that incentivize the adoption of distributed and community solar.

Solar energy is critical in driving our nation's progress toward a decarbonized grid, and you will play a material role in helping our team make this future a reality.

This position will be a part of the Operations team supporting our work as the Program Administrator for Illinois Shines.

Illinois Shines is the statewide incentive program aimed to assistpeople across Illinois to more affordably transition to solar power.

To meet Illinois' goal of having 100% of its energy come from renewable energy sources by 2050, it is imperative that consumers' rights are protected when working with companies registered with the Program.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Overall direction, management, quality control and completion of assigned deliverables
  • Supervising approximately three Associates (application processors)
  • Developing and following operational processes, interacting, and responding to applicants, updating and tracking project progress
  • Communicating project progress to management and clients
  • Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators
  • Provide training, oversight and guidance for supporting staff and other team members
  • Application support and processing
  • Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) for the program portal
  • Dialing monitoring and addressing application processing exceptions, escalations and requests for support
  • Tracking and following up on errors discovered during the quality assurance process

Minimum Qualifications :

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle multiple cases
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Office365, SharePoint, OneNote)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and present information and updates
  • Ability to work and thrive independently
  • Excellent personal accountability and quality control practices

Desired qualifications :

  • Knowledge of solar energy concepts and terminology
  • Direct knowledge or experience with the Illinois Shines program a plus

Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $75k - $90k / Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
