$75,000.00 - $80,000.00, plus bonus after 90 days.

Role Description

Welcome to Opal Collection, an exclusive ensemble of premier luxury hotels and resorts.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time, on-site Area Sales Manager located in Sarasota, FL.

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing a designated geographical market segment and generating revenue by establishing and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners for five beachfront Resorts located on Lido Key and Longboat Key.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience as a hotel Group Sales Manager or similar role, with a track record of achieving sales targets.

Full-Service Resort experience is preferred

  • A thorough understanding of Hotel operations and the meetings industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
  • Ability to work a minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitors to identify business opportunities and create effective sales strategies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Salesforce, OPERA, and HMS, are a plus!
  • Valid driver's license

  • Manage and maintain existing accounts
  • Must be willing to travel to the hotels on an as need basis including some overnight stays
  • Develop new accounts through pro-active efforts
  • Develop meaningful relationships with clients, industry partners, and organizations which are beneficial to the success of the company
  • Respond to all inbound inquiries and RFPs in a timely manner with clear, accurate, and compelling proposals
  • Take a proactive approach to personal and professional growth for yourself and your team
  • Negotiate, generate, and convert contracts
  • Occasionally attend out-of-town trade shows and / or sales missions
  • Effectively grow revenues in all areas of the Resorts, including but not limited to rooms, food and beverage, amenities, and outlets
