Systems Engineer

Imperium Data Talent Solutions has a client located in the Tampa, Florida area looking to add a Systems Engineer to their team.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain the servers, workstations, network devices, and general IT systems.
• Manage and maintain automated vulnerability assessments and patch management monthly.
• Administer server resources including Active Directory (Entra ID / Azure), O365, and file sharing. Manage and implement single sign on and group policy.
• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, etc. servers in AWS cloud and load balancers in Octa.
• Responsible for Intune environment administration for updates, application deployments, security updates, etc.
• Perform routine backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data integrity.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and malware threats.
• Collaborate with the IT team and other departments to address technical issues and support business operations.
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
• Help user community improve their station through education and training.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements and enhancements to the IT infrastructure.

What our client is looking for :

• 3+ years experience in systems engineering in most recent position.
• 5+ total years of experience in information technology.
• Experience in patch management and vulnerability assessments.
• Extensive experience in Active Directory (Entra ID / Azure) management is a must have.
• Networking knowledge and experience is a plus.
• Server management experience is a must and AWS cloud experience is highly desired.

Other qualifications preferred :

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred, but relevant certifications and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, MCSA, AWS certs, or similar are highly desired.
