Driver
Location : Los Angeles, CA, United States
Position Overview :
Object Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to transport materials, equipment, and finished products to various job sites and locations.
The Driver will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods, handling loading and unloading, and maintaining the condition of the vehicle.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, a strong knowledge of local routes, and a commitment to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely transport materials, equipment, and finished products between the workshop and job sites.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring they are properly secured and protected during transport.
- Inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order, performing regular checks on oil, tire pressure, and fuel.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and submit documentation, such as delivery receipts, trip logs, and fuel records, to management.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, ensuring that all items are delivered on time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations, including company-specific safety protocols.
- Assist with site setup or material handling when necessary.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a construction or fabrication environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Class C, with a commercial license being a plus).
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Ability to operate GPS and read maps effectively.
- Good communication skills, able to interact with clients, site managers, and team members professionally.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle repairs (preferred but not required).
- Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed to meet project deadlines.
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Location :
This position is based in Los Angeles, CA, with travel to various job sites within the region.
