Pharmacy Technician

LaSalle Network has partnered with a pharmacy in Akron, OH, in their search for a Pharmacy Technician to join their team.

As a Pharmacy Technician , you will play a vital role in supporting our client's pharmacists and assisting in the delivery of pharmaceutical services to their patients.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including prescription processing, medication dispensing, inventory management and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities :

• Assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
• Process prescription orders, including entering patient information, prescription details and insurance billing information into the pharmacy computer system
• Prepare medication orders for dispensing, including counting, measuring and packaging medications according to prescription orders
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, including restocking shelves, rotating stock and monitoring expiration dates
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring a positive pharmacy experience
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
• Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, processing payments and filing prescription records

Pharmacy Technician Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is a plus but not required
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with pharmacy management software
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and promoting patient safety
