Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, a keen analytical mind, and a commitment to accuracy.

This role will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The Senior Accountant will also play a key role in streamlining and enhancing financial processes.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management : Maintain and oversee general ledger activities, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified.
• Month-End and Year-End Close : Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights to support decision-making.
• Account Reconciliations : Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Compliance and Audit : Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and assist with internal and external audits.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data and variance analysis.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems, and implement best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance, fostering collaboration across the organization.
• Process payroll accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• US Work Authorization
• Ability to navigate stairs / stairwells to get to job location(s)
• Access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work with or near wool material and products
• Ability to work in environments that can become extremely hot / humid
