The Utilization Review RN is accountable for a designated caseload and plans effectively to manage the length of stay, promote efficient utilization of resources and facilitate payer authorization.

The UR RN / Case Manager : Facilitates collaborative management of patient care, intervenes as necessary to remove barriers to efficient care delivery, Applies process improvement methodologies in evaluating the outcomes of care coordination, and Supports and coaches clinical documentation by staff and providers ensuring documentation reflects the severity of illness and intensity of service.
