What’s involved in this role :

We are looking for a Financial Accountant in Appleton, WI or Eden Prairie, MN.

Engage within the finance sector to develop expert knowledge in internal processes, controls and systems and collaborate with the Director on process improvement initiatives.

Review and analyze General Ledger accounts, including cash, receivables, prepaids, payables, accruals, etc. to ensure the subledger reconciles with the general ledger and the accounts are reconciled monthly.

Review all payroll entries to ensure amounts are recorded to the appropriate balance sheet and income statement accounts as new earnings / deduction codes are set up.

Work with the Payroll and Corporate Accounting departments to make changes to the Workday uploads if needed.

For all outgoing payroll-related payments, reconcile and record the offsetting entries to cash.

Prepare, review and input journal entries for all other employee-related general ledger accounts (bonuses, profit sharing, PTO, health insurance, etc.)

Prepare trial balance conversion files as needed for upload of information from Oracle to SAP until all US locations are live in SAP.

Prepare and submit Sales and Use Tax returns for US locations as needed WI / MN / IA / SD / ID. Work with Accounts Payable and Projects to ensure sales and use tax rules are being followed in all states.

What you need to join our team :

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Minimum five (5-8) years of progressive accounting experience in a public accounting or manufacturing environment, with an emphasis on financial statement preparation, account reconciliation and audit support required.

Prior experience with SAP, S4 Hana preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be considered.
