Qualifications / Competencies
Education :
o A Degree or Training in Metallurgy, Quality and / or Engineering is preferred.
Years of Experience :
o Minimum of 10 years of experience in Q.C. and / or Q.A. and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in management / supervision.
Job Knowledge :
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
o Knowledgeable experience with the latest edition of API & ISO requirements and some Environmental & Safety.
Personal Competencies :
o Must coordinate last minute project-based work and details as well as the ability to travel.
o Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Safety :
o Understands all applicable location safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Working conditions are split between a professional office environment and a normal manufacturing environment.
- Work involves delegated and operation detail.
- Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and / or fingers in a repetitive manner.
- Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach / handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
- Well-lighted, heated and / or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- The ability to work in loud, hot environments / extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
- Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Direct Reports / Authorities
- Direct authority over Quality Assurance and Quality Control Departments and personnel.
- Direct authority over the quality process; can stop production at any time that is deemed necessary.
Accountabilities
- The QA / QC Manager is accountable for all Quality Department related activities for SeAH Steel USA, LLC.
