REGISTERED NURSE - EMPLOYEE HEALTH (TEMPORARY)
UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary Registered Nurse to join our Employee Health Clinic during our fall vaccination campaign.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for administering required vaccinations and fit testing for UWMC faculty and staff. The Registered Nurse ensures that their work aligns with established standards and protocols related to occupational health and infection prevention, including the proper use of PPE.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Part time
- 8-24 hours per week
- May include weekend work
- This is a temporary position anticipated to run from mid-August 2024 to mid-December 2024
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer vaccinations
- Document and monitor patients for vaccination side effects
- Administer fit testing to ensure adequate respirator fit for employees
- Review and respond to employee questions related to occupational health topics, based on established standards and protocols
- Maintain infection control standards, including hand hygiene, site hygiene, and proper use of PPE
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 year of experience administering intramuscular medications / vaccinations
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
