Superintendent

Job Summary : The Solar Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site activities related to solar installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This role requires a strong background in solar construction, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Project Management : Oversee the daily operations of solar installation projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Team Leadership : Lead and supervise a team of solar installers and subcontractors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Safety Compliance : Enforce safety protocols and standards on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Quality Assurance : Monitor and inspect work progress to ensure that installations meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Maintain open lines of communication to facilitate project updates and address any issues that arise.

• Problem Solving : Identify and resolve any construction-related issues promptly, coordinating with the project manager and engineering team as necessary.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, safety inspections, and quality checks.

Assist in the preparation of project documentation for clients and regulatory agencies.

Resource Management : Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site to ensure efficient use and minimize waste.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years specifically in solar installation or renewable energy projects.
• Certifications : OSHA 30-hour certification required; additional solar-related certifications are a plus.
• Technical Skills : Strong understanding of solar technology, installation methods, and construction processes.
• Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment.
• Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
