About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 07 : 00-19 : 00 Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum 2 years License : RN License Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : - Critical thinking skills- EKG rhythm interpretation- Experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips- Peripheral IV skills- Experience with bipaps, high flow oxygen, and multiple oxygen delivery systems- Experience with stroke and post-cardiac cath care Job Description : Work in a unit with 34 beds and patient ratios of 1 : 4 to 1 : 5 during days and 1 : 5 to 1 : 6 at nights- Perform procedures like peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis, chest tube insertions, dobhoff / NG tube insertions, and central line dressing changes- Utilize equipment such as bipaps, high flow oxygen, vapotherm, alaris pumps, and wound vacs- Document patient information using Meditech system- Schedule includes every other weekend, three 12-hour shifts per week- Potential for floating between PCU units or med-surg floors- Engage in hourly rounding on days and every 2-hour rounding during nights- Maintain communication boards;
