Responsibilities

• Assists the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance and special projects as assigned.
• Leads and develops Team Members.
• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.
• Perform duties in accordance with team and store Standard Operating Procedures.
• Support WFM core values and goals and adhere to health and safety regulations, including Food Safety and regulatory duties in the department.
• In the absence of the Team Leader, act as point person and departmental lead.
• Set and achieve high standards of retail execution and teamwork; foster a positive environment and strong morale.
• Monitor customer flows and needs; direct Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
• Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
• Provide timely, thorough performance evaluations and communicate the WFM vision and goals.
