JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Helium Supply Chain & Product Management role has direct responsibility for managing Matheson’s global helium logistics, helium sourcing contract administration and product management responsibility for Matheson’s helium business.
The role is also responsible for managing the Sales & Operations Planning process and for managing the inputs and analysis of the P&L.

Essential Functions

Global Logistics
Manage worldwide bulk liquid helium shipments though a staff of three (4) direct reports located in Irving, TX; Poland and Dubai, UAE
Sourcing Contract Administration
- Manage existing sourcing contracts and supply arrangements
- Monitor take-or-pay commitments
- Manage helium storage contract & in-kind purchases
- Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings
- Develop annual sourcing budget
Global Supply Portfolio Optimization
- Maintain relationships with competitors’ logistics teams
- Pursue trades, swaps, tolling, backup, container rental, as required
Product Management
- Coordinate customer strategy with field sales
- Develop product pricing for new business & renewals
- Provide helium sales training for field sales teams
- Coordinate price adjustments
- Communicate marketing strategy
General
- Provide input to development of Global Helium’s business strategies
- Manage the business within agreed operating expense budgets
- Contribute to special projects such as container requirement modeling, helium related capital investment analysis, etc.
