About The Position
- Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty : HVI PCU Stepdown Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : - ICU experience required;
- CVICU experience preferred- Open book exam on skills learned during orientation with a required passing score of 90%- EKG exam required Job Description : Work in a unit focused on cardiac and vascular patient populations, including post-op and post-procedure care- Care for varying levels of patients including ICU, PCU, and Med Surg- Manage care for cardiac and vascular-related diagnoses, including CHF- Use and manage devices like Impella, balloon pump, ventilators, BIPAP, and CPAP- Administer multiple cardiac medications for blood pressure management such as amio, nitro, nicardipine, epi, and cardizem- Participate in a cyclic staff scheduling model and wear navy scrubs- No block scheduling;
flexibility required for travel positions- Care assignments vary based on acuity : 1 : 2 for ICU, 1 : 4 for PCU, 1 : 5 for Med Surg
