We're currently looking for an Occasional Babysitter in Silver Spring, MD 20903

A lovely family near Hillandale Park is looking for an Occasional Babysitter for their two children, 5 months old and 4 years old. Backup care is needed Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with occasional date nights. At least one parent will be on hand, in the home, during daytime needs.

Some needs, such as known daycare closures and date nights would be shared with advanced notice. Other needs may be last minute. Candidates need not be available for all requests. Please note that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The family is seeking a sitter who can communicate effectively regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and concerns that may arise.

Schedule :

Monday - Friday : 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm - As Needed

  • Possibility for occasional Date Nights
  • There are no guaranteed hours

Rate : $25-30

Responsibilities

All aspects of care for two children :

  • Bottle feeding and cleaning
  • Engaging in age appropriate activities
  • Meal and snack prep
  • Maintain children’s schedules and routines
  • Diapering and hygiene assistance (cloth diapers)
  • Light housekeeping related to the children

    • Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 2+ years of paid, professional infant care experience
  • Must be able to provide at least two professional childcare references, or references that collectively cover at least two years of professional childcare experience, whichever is greater
  • Infant CPR certified or willing to become certified
  • Has valid driver’s license or ID
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to successfully clear a background and social media check
  • Must be comfortable with family’s large friendly dog

    • Compensation

    Position pays $25-30 per hour and client is looking for occasional, as-needed care.
