Responsible for driving buses or vans to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule.

2. Administrative responsibilities
- Prepares Department of Transportation paperwork as required of commercial drivers operating commercial vehicles
- Prepares pre- and post-trip inspection reports
- Prepares and maintains passenger logs
- Documents and reports mechanical issues with vehicles

Special Considerations
The duties of the position do not allow for a remote work option; the employee in this position will be required to work on campus where they can be fully accessible to the Lehigh community
Will sometimes need to walk, stand, climb, kneel, crouch or crawl
Will nearly continuously sit, need to speak and hear, use hands and arms to reach, feel and handle objects, work near vibration and mechanical parts
This position is responsible for driving university-owned vehicles as a routine function, therefore a valid Drivers License and a good driving record is required
Occasional holiday or weekend hours
Essential Services; must be available to work during inclement weather
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement is required
One to three years related work experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to : social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
