Drivers must be capable of clear communication, reading road signs, and completing documentation, as DOT officers may test and evaluate English proficiency during roadside inspections. Contract Driver (1099, Solo) Refrigerated, Dry Van and Flatbed trailer OTR $2,000 - $2,300 gross total weekly avg. pay 28% of load $0.65 - $0.67 CPM 3,000 - 3,500 avg. miles per week No Driver Load / Unload 25% tarping No slip seating 21 - 28 expected days out You can stay out longer if you want to Get 7 days of home time for every 21 days worked Home at least one weekend per month Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Daily customer interactions and maintaining good customer relations. Being available for work at all times in order to meet customer pickup and delivery schedules. Submitting customer paperwork and deposits including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports. Inspection of vehicle, equipment, and cargo to ensure everything is safe, legal, and secure. Maintaining a driver's log in accordance with DOT regulations. Orientation is not paid for Does not cover accommodation Drivers get their own room No meals are included Covers some or all travel expenses Class A license without any of the following restrictions : (L,Z) Air Brakes, (G) Night Driving, (O) No Semi Trailer or (K) Intrastate Only 6 months Tractor Trailer experience
