Responsibilities

  • Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks on mission critical projects, as you gain familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup; coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
  • Produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts and grounding, lighting, and power plans.
  • Assist directly with more complex portions of the design process, interacting with the client, owner, and contractors to assist construction on site.
  • Work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • At least 15 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
  • Extensive electrical engineering power distribution design experience for semiconductor or mission critical facilities
  • Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
  • Experience with UPS and EPMS systems
  • Experience with generator sizing and paralleling
  • Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment / components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc.
  • Team leadership and client interaction experience
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project lead experience
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
  • Displayed ability to learn quickly and drive to broaden knowledge base
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
  • Passionate about buildings and construction
  • Ideally, you'll also have

  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
  • Medium Voltage (MV) design experience

    The base salary range for this position is $155,600.00 to $200,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
