Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.
Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Provide emergency respiratory care as needed in critical situations.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for all treatments and progress.
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Contribute to achieving departmental targets and performance metrics.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy procedures and equipment use.
Ensure all respiratory therapy equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
Adapt to new technologies and methodologies in respiratory therapy.
Experience / Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience in respiratory therapy.
Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas.
Proficiency in using respiratory therapy equipment and technologies.
Strong communication skills for patient and team interactions.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
Experience with quality improvement initiatives in healthcare settings.
Familiarity with departmental targets and performance metrics.
Ability to educate patients and families on respiratory therapies.
Strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed patient records.
