A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced Team Attorney to join its Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets (CM) team.
This role involves working with a national leader in the commercial real estate finance industry, specifically focusing on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).
This position is ideal for an attorney looking for a non-partnership track role with reduced billable hour requirements and minimal non-billable obligations.
There is potential for remote work and opportunities to expand into other capital markets transactions.
Duties
- Serve as the primary attorney for one of the firm’s largest clients, abstracting securitization instruments including legacy, new issuance, and replacement special servicer instruments.
- Utilize client-specific software to support commercial real estate finance transactions.
- Work with pooling and servicing agreements, indentures, inter-creditor agreements, and co-lender agreements for CMBS loans.
- Collaborate closely with nationally recognized attorneys and professionals within the firm’s Real Estate Finance & Capital Markets practice.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on CMBS.
- Experience with reviewing and managing securitization instruments and agreements.
- Familiarity with loan servicing transactions is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex transactions and provide high-quality legal counsel.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction of the office location or eligibility to waive in.
