As a Sous Chef, you would oversee all Back of House operations and be responsible for purchasing, receiving, preparing, and presenting all food products in a timely manner, according to established recipes and procedures.

As a Sous Chef, your responsibilities would include :
- Communicate with employees to ensure all levels of food production are executed to Cien Agaves' standards.
- Supervising and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen are met and adhered to during your scheduled shifts.
- Assist in counting, placing, and organizing food and beverage inventory.
- In conjunction with all management, enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing the cleanliness of kitchen and ensure food safety at all times.
- Maintaining productivity standards to ensure efficient and timely service is met.
- Managing performance, including coaching, developing, and disciplining employees
- Assisting with the development of kitchen employees and communicating needs to all manager
- Assisting in the maintenance of food costs.
- Directly work with employees, including assisting with scheduling and hour allocation of employees.
- Assist in clerical work including, but not limited to, invoicing, receiving, and placing orders.
- Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times.
- Ensure all checklists and forms are filled out and performed to Cien Agaves' standards.
- Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
- Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
- Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling labor costs
- Assist Kitchen Manager with all responsibilities
- Drive sales by working with all team members to execute excellent operations and recruiting efforts.
- Conducting food service for off-site catering and marketing events.
Qualifications :
- Minimum 1 year experience in leadership of a restaurant kitchen
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
- Knowledge of common food safety practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Excellent written and communication skills
