Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.

The RN-First Assist will work directly with physicians and other providers to insure quality care and appropriate documentation for Surgical patients.

Member of the SCIP committee with active involvement in process improvement measures. Performs functions delineated under surgical services ARNP / Physician Assistant delineation of privileges.

• Provides professional leadership and support to health team members through the following : excellent verbal and written communication;
• problem solve and work effectively with the entire health care team, patients and families; sound planning and work organization;

working both independently and in teams. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Candidate must have at least 3-5 years of First Assist OR experience to be considered

Qualifications

FL RN License

Candidate must have at least 2 years of First Assist OR experience to be considered

BLS and ACLS through American Heart Association, required

Current PALS Certification through American Heart Association

Current CSFA certification (through NBSTSA) or SA-C certification (through ABSA) must be maintained for employment

Maintains licensure as Surgical First Assistant where indicated by State Law

Completion of a CAAHEP accredited or ABSA approved First Assistant program that includes didactic and supervised clinical practice
