Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer
Our client is a private investment firm based in Boston, MA looking to hire a Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer. This individual will develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by other teams, designed to increase productivity.
The ideal candidate has a strong architectural understanding of M365 security constructs and data protections such as DLP, RMS / IRM, Azure Information Protection.
This role requires 3 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and support Exchange Online, Intune device management and AzureAD
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and create architecture documentation
- Contribute to the enterprise Azure / O365 strategy, standards and best practices
- Develop on-site solutions and the cloud inclusive of Azure AD Connect and third-party identity providers
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment
- Create and implement automation in the form of infrastructure as code
- Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years of hands on IT experience
- 2+ years Azure / O365 experience
- Experience scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting language
- Experience with orchestration and configuration management tools including Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of complex global networking topologies and zero-trust firewalling practices
- Strong passion for technology, a willingness to learn new skills and the ability to evangelize the uses of cloud services
- Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team
- Proven team-oriented person who can collaborate openly
