Work you'll do

The Sr. Data Visualization Engineer / Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) reports.

Working with cross-functional teams, you will participate in gathering and documenting requirements to meet business needs and use those requirements to help design, develop, test and implement reports and dashboards that utilize the underlying data to deliver cutting-edge Reporting products.

The GPS AI & Data Engineering offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients.

Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to delivery insights to decision-makers.

Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Active Secret security clearance level or above
  • 2+ years of experience in data dashboard development
  • 2+ years of technology management consulting experience
  • 2+ years of experience in data visualization a reports development with Power BI and additional Business Intelligence Reporting Applications
  • 2+ years experience architecting user interfaces on a microservice architectures
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries / sectors you serve.

Preferred :

  • 2+ years demonstrated frontend software engineering (Vue / JavaScript / Angular / React)
  • Creativity and innovation - desire to learn and apply new technologies, products, and libraries.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices - willingness to review code and work and provide feedback to other engineers
  • Experience implementing wireframes with flexible, well-structured code
  • Willingness to collaborate with distributed teams
  • Comfortable with code versioning tools such as Git

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, Nevada, New York state, Washington state, and Washington, DC, and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets;

experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,600 - $141,000.
