Summary :
We are looking for a Fiber Characterization Lead to oversee our fiber cable analysis and testing efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fiber optics and cable technology, along with a strong background in both laboratory and field-testing methods.
This role will involve leading a team of specialists and working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure our fiber cables meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage fiber cable characterization projects, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Develop and refine testing methods to evaluate the performance and reliability of fiber optic cables.
- Coordinate laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Analyze test data and present findings to stakeholders, offering insights for product improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to establish specifications and performance benchmarks.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on fiber cable testing techniques and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and emerging technologies in fiber optics.
Qualifications / Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Extensive experience in fiber optic technology and cable characterization methods.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
