Network compliance and standards are at the heart of our global network strategy and are key enablers to drive this transformation.

We are seeking an innovative and hands-on network compliance and certification leader for our Network Compliance team. This leader will develop, maintain, and ensure that Marriott’s network follows all standards across all network devices, including Property Networks, Corporate Networks, Datacenter Networks, and Cloud Networks.

The Network Compliance team partners closely with the Global Information Security team to ensure that all regulatory standards are followed and implemented.

This leader will set up governance, policy, vulnerability management, and various compliance matrices to ensure that Marriott's network is protected.

Additionally, the Network Compliance leader will establish the Test and Certification framework to ensure that all code releases and configurations adhere to standards and are certified for release.

In this role, you will :

  • Lead a team of high-performing network compliance engineers to develop our compliance framework.
  • Own the network compliance roadmap, participating in cross-functional technology teams to steer our compliance and certification vision, and drive improved standards in our network governance.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with expert network architects and engineers across the Global Networks organization.
  • Be accountable for driving the delivery and adoption of network compliance practices across all Global Networks teams.
  • Establish technical relationships with other key disciplines within Marriott to define and implement network security and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the performance of team members and provide mentorship for their growth.
  • Drive measurable business value through the development and implementation of network compliance tools and solutions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field experience / certification.
  • 8+ years’ experience in a technical role within a Network / Security Engineering or Operations organization designing and implementing complex networking solutions.
  • 6+ years of experience with network routing, switching, security operations, and engineering.
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading and managing technical teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in creating network configurations compliant with Global Security and Compliance Standards.
  • Compliance and Vulnerability Management experience.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing a successful network compliance program.
  • In-depth knowledge of security compliance and risk management frameworks, such as NIST 800-53, CIS CSC, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
  • Experience with WAN, LAN networks focused on mission-critical applications.
  • Technical expertise in common routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), IPv6, and VPN.
  • Technical knowledge in ancillary network areas like DNS, NTP, and advanced networking disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering written documents detailing network solutions.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours during change implementations.

Preferred :

  • Certification in network and / or security technologies (e.g., CCIE, CCNP, CISSP).
  • Experience with designing and engineering Cloud Networks.
  • Experience with Firewall technologies like Checkpoint, PaloAlto, Fortinet.
  • Experience in Network Hardware, Software, Configuration Manual or automated testing.
  • Strong knowledge of Network and Security Compliance Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of projects while balancing short-term and long-term goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities.
  • Experience operating in Scaled Agile Framework.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

  • Strategize, develop goals, and implement plans for successful network compliance projects.
  • Design, implement, and operationalize network infrastructure policies and standards.
  • Guide and mentor network compliance engineers in building innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team in designing and implementing network solutions.
  • Deliver network compliance products on time while participating in scrum methodologies.
  • Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available.

The salary range for this position is $113,850 to $216,315 annually, eligible for an annual bonus and stock grants. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
