About The Position

ID : 51593761 Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Description : *ALL contracts will go to 1 / 4 / 2025 to help with holiday coverage Cardiac Stepdown RN3x12 nightsBlocked scheduling is an option! 5 North / Step-down is a 20-bed (all private room) unit.

We strive for a 4 : 1 ratio but can have a 5 : 1 ratio, depending on our staffing situation. We have a mixture of pulmonary (pneumonia, COPD, BiPAP / cpap, etc.

cardiac (a-fib, heart failure, etc.), neuro (stroke), GI (bleed), and surgery patients who are stable with a higher risk of becoming unstable.

Our unit is equipped to house 20 stepdown patients at one time, however, all patients do not have to be step-down in order to be on our unit.

We accept patients who do not require invasive monitoring. There may be a combination of adult med-surg, telemetry, and step-down patients at any given time, based upon bed availability house wide.

Examples of critical drips we can administer to our step-down patients : Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin.
