We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our dynamic team! This position will focus on scheduling and assigning tasks to the other maintenance technicians while ensuring the repair and maintenance of technical facilities and mechanical systems.

We are seeking someone that is hardworking, shows attention to detail, takes initiative, has a teamwork mentality and positive attitude.

This person will manage the day-to-day operations of building maintenance, vendors, and product service support for facilities on the East side of the Indianapolis, Indiana area.

Oversees daily management of building systems, mechanical, electrical, energy management, Waste streams, Reducing environmental footprint, fire / life safety functional areas.

Develops, recommends, and administers policies, procedures, and processes in support of departmental operations. Responds to inquiries and requests for service from internal work order system and staff.

Coordinates all work orders involving Preventative Maintenance Program and work requests to address facilities needs of the Indy sites.

Achieves objectives related to efficient and effective facilities maintenance and operations.

Responsibilities :

  • Directs and / or assists workers and outside contractors in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, or HVAC systems
  • Assists workers and outside contractors in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
  • Directs workers and outside contractors engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery
  • Monthly energy monitoring (Electric, water, etc.)
  • Order and maintain appropriate inventory of spare parts and maintain critical parts inventory
  • Reviews Preventive Maintenance Schedules, project lists, and area repair requests and estimates worker hour requirements and schedules for completion of job assignments (using work order scheduling systems)
  • Interprets company policies to direct reports and outside contractors and enforces safety regulations
  • Interprets specifications, wire schematics, blueprints, and job orders as necessary to complete, or advises others in the completion of assigned duties
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods
  • Reduce waste streams, find Green solutions for energy, equipment performance, and monitor quality of product
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
  • Responds to alarm calls associated with equipment or building condition
  • Maintains facility equipment lists, equipment files, and history of repairs
  • Performs calibration of applicable equipment
  • Manages the timely completion of maintenance records
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years related experience and / or training
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical procedures, equipment manuals, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to oversee multiple projects / schedules at one time
  • Ability to communicate well with both employees and management
  • Availability for rotational weekend work
  • Leadership skills and the ability to direct the work of others and provide effective feedback and accountability.
  • This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and / or years of experience.

The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the persons relevant experience and / or education level.
