RN Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

BLS, ACLS - PALS is required!
This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodically will FLOAT to ED, Med / Surg or Peds in case of low census.
Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients.
The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments and ability to work independently in completing assignments.
Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, hospital policies.
Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families.
After hours recovery of post op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.
Necessary Qualifications
Education : Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications :
Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment :
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
National Institutes of Health (NIH) - NIHSS must be completed within 6 months of hire
