OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH ASSISTANT
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Occupational Health Assistant for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assists EHS and Occupational Health Team with the planning and implementation of Services related to employee health and safety.
A successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, collaborative, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization and an unwavering attention to detail.
This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who can exercise good judgment and who takes significant initiative. Must also possess :
o Strong communication skills to interact with all levels of personnel on a regular basis.
o A team player attitude, with an ability to supervise several projects in a fast-paced environment.
o The ability to prioritize and respond accordingly to various situations.
o Strong computer skills. Must be able to understand and work with the MS Office Suite
As part of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team, you will be responsible for :
o Providing (first responder) emergency and non-emergency care to The Aerospace Corporation's employees.
o Preparing and submitting required reports; tracking and verifying follow-up treatments regarding occupational injuries and illnesses;
maintaining Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) log.
o Arranging, coordinating, and administering medical surveillance exams, and managing the medical surveillance program.
o Maintaining medical records on all employees.
o Conducting ergonomic assessments.
o Attending on-site meetings and drills routinely.
o COVID related tasks, including COVID risk assessments, return to work clearances, vaccine tracking, and other tasks associated with COVID management.
o Maintaining wellness programs- including health education.
o Any other task assigned by Environmental, Health and Safety
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :
5 years of experience as Medical assistant or Medical Aid.
PREFERRED :
Medical Assistant or Medical Aid certification.
EDUCATION :
High School Diploma from accredited school.
WORK HOURS :
5 / 40 workweek. Monday - Friday. 7 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
