Duties
- Serve as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist (LMS) and command expert for US Army TACOM with responsibility for managing all aspects of documenting equipment and MOS authorizations.
- Provides program oversight to assure timely development of the entire Integrated Product Support (IPS) planning program.
- Manages the development of the Basis of Issue Plan Feeder Data (BOIPFD) and Manpower Requirements Criteria (MARC)
- Maintains visibility and status of BOIPFD, ASIOE, and Component Major Items (CMI) and ensures compatibility of BOIP / SSN files with both Materiel fielding Plans (MFPs) and data interchange.
- Manages, directs and monitors equipment and MOS authorization development, type classification / reclassification activities, and the documentation of materiel supportability and acceptability for use.
- Coordinates with appropriate activities on all associated actions involving configuration control, engineering or re-engineering requirements, developing Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Plans and establishes both current and long-term objectives for assigned area. Ensures the development and execution of policies and procedures to accomplish the assigned mission.

Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes : 1) Performing and managing tasks or programs in the areas of Life Cycle Logistics, 2) Participating in or leading meetings / working groups with various organizations, 3) Providing support to internal and external customers, and 4) Providing training or briefings in support of Army equipment, systems, or items.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas :

Time in Grade Requirement : Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2
- This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process.
The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment.
If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 5 years by a current permanent Army employee.
Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
Position may be made permanent without further competition.
