Credit bureau data is at the heart of underwriting decisions at US Card. This role is with the Bureau Data Strategy team, and supports a broad customer base in Card Data.
The team is responsible for generating insights and extracting value from Bureau Data .
- This role exposes you to tech, modeling, product, and the US Card business teams and it involves : developing credit bureau data SME;
- creating insightful features from bureau data; developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with stakeholders; performing deep dive analysis on credit bureau data and presenting to senior LT members;
and improving key production infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications :
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of experience in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Master’s Degree plus 3 years in data analytics, or currently has, or is in the process of obtaining PhD, with an expectation that required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date
At least 1 year of experience in open source programming languages for large scale data analysis
At least 1 year of experience with machine learning
At least 1 year of experience with relational databases
Preferred Qualifications :
Master’s Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) plus 3 years of experience in data analytics, or PhD in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
At least 3 years of experience with machine learning
At least 3 years of experience with Spark
At least 3 years of experience with SQL
At least 1 year of experience with AWS
At least 3 years of experience with Python, including Object Oriented Programming, unit testing, and design patterns
At least 3 years of experience with data storytelling and presenting to senior leadership
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
