Kapi'olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai'i's women and children through excellence in academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care.
The group is comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other staff, covering newborn to women's health services at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children.
KMS operates exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options at Kapi'olani and building support for these services within Hawai'i as a whole.
The group’s specialty areas include : Neurology, Orthopedics,Genetics, Adolescent Medicine, Otolaryngology, Behavioral Health Services, Hematology / Oncology, Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care, Family Medicine and the full spectrum of Pediatric Specialties.
Its Women's specialists include Breast and General Surgery, Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.

When everyday challenges are heightened by a personal illness or an illness in the family, patients can experience significant anxiety, depression, or other difficulties.
Kapi olani’s Behavioral Health Service (KBHS) help patients and their families manage these concerns by providing services designed to meet the behavioral health needs of patients who are being treated in the hospital or as follow-up care for women and children who are being seen in our outpatient clinics.
We provide on-site psychiatric and psychological services for our patients, and KBHS is a training site for the University of Hawai i School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry.
If you are compassionate and empathetic, you could be our next Social Worker and provide invaluable counseling and guidance services to patients and their families.
Your responsibilities include providing assessment, counseling and referral services to patients and their families. We are looking for someone sensitive and perceptive, with a strong sense of social service, who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications : Current Hawai i Social Work license.
Preferred Qualifications : One (1) year clinical social work experience in an acute care setting.
