About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Job Specialty : Radiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 4 x 10-hour evening shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years of imaging-related experience preferred License : Active Radiologic Technologist License required Certifications : - ARRT (R) Radiography Registration through The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Associate's degree in Radiology from a recognized college or university- Demonstrated clinical competency in radiology- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Strong interpersonal skills- Ability to work under deadlines and handle special requests- Ability to multi-task and manage stressful situations professionally- Compassionate patient care approach- Detail oriented Job Description : Perform radiologic procedures with x-ray equipment upon physician request- Introduce self to patient and explain the exam process- Obtain patient history relevant to safety and clinical information- Position patient properly to minimize radiation exposure, while using appropriate shielding and devices- Inform patients of any delays exceeding 15 minutes- Maintain cleanliness and stock of work areas and check emergency equipment- Learn and practice sterile techniques and assist the radiologist during procedures- Navigate hospital and radiology information systems, including PACS- Stay updated on hospital policies and procedures through bulletin boards and mail- Perform additional duties as needed or assigned
