for this role include support of projects associated with new process installations, including automation design / strategy, start-up, commissioning, mechanical / electrical installation, and validation support.
Projects are multifaceted and require critical thinking and problem solving techniques critical for success. Must have the following skills and experience : Electrical / electronic problem solving in a manufacturing plant;
expertise with Allen Bradley PLC's. Be able to repair, and calibrate instrumentation and have experience with Windows based PC's.
Work well in a team-based environment with limited supervision, and be available to work any shift, weekends and holidays as needed.

1) - 20%
Represent Facilities on site wide project teams to ensure Facilities requirements are met with regards to standardization, installation, and maintainability of equipment.
SME for site automation and control systems. This includes design, maintenance and monitoring of manufacturing control components and utility infrastructure.
2) - 10%
Participation in automation / controls project planning, execution, and startup. Collaborate with Facilities Maintenance personnel in problem solving and repairing equipment under Facilities responsibilities.
3) - 10%
Provide day-to-day administration of the Building Management and Building Automation systems including preventive maintenance, modification, change control and GMP compliance.
4) - 20%
Design and implement solutions for improvement to manufacturing operations, including tools for for proactive monitoring and alerting of core operational status.
5) - 10%
Planning and execution of projects to reduce and / or optimize site energy usage. Understand process equipment control systems, programming and how to implement control systems in a GMP environment.
6) - 10%
Process equipment diagnostics and solving difficult hardware, software, instrumentation, and process problems to maintain system readiness.
7) - 10%
Prepare, modify, review, and approve documents to including, but not limited to SOPs, specifications, protocols, drawings, vendor submittals and forms.
8) - 5%
Support a highly technical environment with a positive mind set of continuous improvement, through active participation in plant productivity programs.
9) - 5%
Active Participation and Compliance in all site safety and environmental policies, procedures, and programs.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Multiple year's of experience in GMP environment.
- Experience with Equipment Monitoring and control systems.
- Background in SAP CCMS system.
- Must have technical skills in (basic PLC skills, machining, welding tasks, high pressure gases)
- Multiple years of experience with technical processes, instrumentation, and related control systems.
- Experience in computer control automation system start-ups, loop tuning, and problem resolution of control system modifications.
- PLC ladder logic, IO networks, control computers and associated control component repair.
- Experience with control platforms like; Rockwell Factory Talk, AB PLCs, WonderWare, iFix, Seimens, or associated IO and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of engineering principals and practices, including Microsoft office tools ( excel, word, visio) required.
- Instrumentation, repair, and calibration.
- Experience with Windows based PC's
- Must have knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems (SAP), computer functions and technology upgrades related to predictive maintenance.
- Support a culture of advancement and continuous improvement, while actively participating in site productivity programs.
- Participation and compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and safety programs.
- Perform all tasks as assigned by manager
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s or technical degree in engineering, instrumentation, process automation or related experience in this field.
- Qualified applicants will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
