Position Title : Clinical Director
Reports To : Owner / CEO
Main Function : Provides professional direction, supervision and coordination for designated area mental health programs in the service for Community Support and other approved services.
Implement policies and procedures to assure regulatory compliance to all Federal and the District Agencies rules and regulations.
The Clinical Director must meet one of the following licensed discipline categories :
- Licensed Psychologist (Doctorate Level)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Licensed Professional Counselor
Position Responsibilities :
- Supervision of the clinical managers and assigned community support team, therapist and / or interns
- Ensure all of the treatment protocols are being appropriately followed according to MHRS
- Ensure diagnostic intakes, assessments and treatment plans are being completed and billed appropriately
- Assign or reassign new consumers to a clinical team that will best fit their needs
- Implementation of best practice and emerging practice protocols
- Review of service quality and collaborate with the quality assurance team
- Design, coordinate and implement in-house staff training as per DBH contract
- Assure compliance to all applicable rules, regulations, and policy, including Federal and District Agency.
- Assure clinical policies and procedures provide the best means for direct care staff to carry out their responsibilities and achieve projected goals.
- Directs and participates in policy and program implementation and assure all deadlines are met.
- Directs and participates in all clinical audits, including Federal and District Agencies
- Assists with personnel performance reviews in accordance with personnel policy and procedures.
- Provides training, motivation, goal setting and supervision to therapists, and counselors.
- Directs the implementation of approved clinical procedures to achieve the maximum productivity, efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Participates in designated meetings at DBH and those in the community as requested by the executive team.
- Work with other mental health agencies and collaterals to solve day-to-day problems regarding clients and / or their families.
- Makes on-site supervisory visits as well as field observations and complete required documentation
- Audits consumer records to ensure completeness, accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Provide on-call support to both field and administrative staff
- Supervises and coordinates all therapeutic services delivered by the agency
- Maintains communication with the Executive team on the day-to-day achievements or concerns as it relates to own duties or the treatment team
- Communicates professionally and timely in person and in writing to all staff, outside contacts and those we serve
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
