The work will be challenging, but always rewarding. It’s Work That Matters. Overview Purpose Statement / Position Summary : This is a very exciting and integral position in the NI service line.

We are looking for a very strong leader with experiences in ambulatory operations, financial clearance, physician relations, customer service, and people management.

The Manager, Center of Excellence Clinical Business is responsible for managing non-clinical, administrative activities for the Division.

Administrative responsibilities include all aspects of patient scheduling, registration, patient billing, as well as facilities maintenance.

Participates in the preparation and monitoring of capital budgets as well as the clinical component of the operating budget.

Prepares analytical reports for financial, administrative and / or programmatic planning. Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 5+ years in medical field in delivery of healthcare services, preferably in a faculty practice of hospital inpatient and outpatient setting.

3+ years’ management experience preferred. Clinical operations in the ambulatory or OR setting highly preferred. People management skills, customer service experience, physical relations experience and scheduling and financial clearance experience preferred. Responsibilities include :

  • Leads the appointment scheduling and clinic templates for Neurology Clinic and EEG Outpatient Lab.
  • Assigns clinic rooms and utilization for 34 exam rooms daily.
  • Supports day-to-day clinic registration, throughput, and problem solving for a practice of 50 providers and 28,000 visits / year.
  • Manages patient experience initiatives in the NI in partnership with other division and service line leaders.
  • Serves as the primary leader for patient service recovery if related to administrative issues scheduling and authorizations.
  • Acts as a liaison with The Appointment Center, Radiology, Pathology, and other divisions on any operational issues.
  • Oversees a Supervisor, Clinical Operations, and a portfolio of 25 administrative FTEs.
  • Leads daily huddles, team meetings, and 1 : 1 direct report meetings as appropriate.
  • Supports the orientation and training of staff, evaluation of staff work assignments and performance, and directs process for interviewing and selecting administrative staff.

Education / Licensure / Certification : Bachelor’s degree required; Masters in Hospital Admin, Business Admin, Public Health or Nursing preferred.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be considered. Pay Scale Information $76,128.00-$137,030.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
