We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Portland, OR. This position involves providing crucial support in Early Intervention / Early Childhood Evaluation for Portland Public Schools (PPS).
As a key member of the Evaluation team, you will collaborate with professionals from various disciplines to ensure comprehensive and effective services for children aged birth to 5.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct Early Intervention and Early Childhood Evaluations for children aged birth to 5.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, special educators, and other professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to children and support their families in fostering skill development.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), and attend IEP meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications :
- Current Oregon state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working in Early Intervention or with children aged birth to 5 is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing occupational therapy in schools.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of young children and their families.
