About The Opportunity

Overall responsibility to plan, direct, control and manage production, quality, building maintenance, scheduling and machine maintenance for the specified facility.

• Provides the leadership required for all assigned departments, assuring company objectives in the areas of cost, customer service, quality, profitability, and employee well-being are met
• Monitors and assists in the company safety efforts to assure a safe environment, while adhering to the guidelines established by OSHA and Menasha
• Analyzes current department practices, procedures, and plans to determine if there is a better way to accomplish, taking into consideration, such areas as employee well-being, profitability, OSHA guidelines, customer expectations, and the Menasha Packaging Strategy
• Oversees a program of quality control, machine performance expectations, material specification compliance and customer acceptable finished goods
• Communicates, on a frequent basis, with peers and their work teams so open communication lines remain between individual groups as well as between subordinates in these groups.

Includes participation in any related production, sales, customer complaint, etc. meetings

• Establishes the reports and reporting structures needed to effectively meet expectations
• Evaluates the need for additional equipment and recommends equipment for purchase. Includes the preparation of capital expenditure justifications
• Ensures the overall maintenance of facilities, grounds, utilities and equipment
• Establishes and maintains an efficient organizational structure by selecting, training, mentoring and appraising employees using the Total Management System.

Includes, at times, the delegation and reassignment of duties.

Oversees machine performance expectations, material specification compliance, and operational housekeeping / cleanliness and customer acceptable finished goods.

Responsibility of managing and reporting status on the Operations Scorecard.

• Communicates in an encouraging and stimulating manner, on a frequent basis, with direct reports and their work teams so open communication lines remain between individual groups as well as between subordinates in these groups Includes participation in any related production, sales, customer complaint, etc. meetings
• Oversee the development of annual budget as it relates to production and its impact on the overall business plan
• Track, analyze and report financial impact to the P&L on a monthly basis
• Monitors and manages operational costs to budget and past history
• Responsible for following and complying with Company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and maintaining quality work and product
• Should have an extensive knowledge of the corrugated and / or packaging industry, solid financial knowledge, production management and warehouse inventory control experience
• Must have excellent people skills in the areas of communication, leadership, coaching and discipline
• Have strong ability to quickly analyze a situation and then act
• Demonstrate an ability to lead people and get results through others
• Ability to think ahead and plan over a specific time span
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
