Virtual Special Education Teacher
Location : Remote (Mississippi)
Job Type : Full-Time / Part-Time Contract
Pay : $32 / Hour
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide instruction in a virtual setting, using various online tools and resources.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student development.
- Participate in virtual meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
- Communicate regularly with students and their families to provide updates on progress and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Mississippi teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in an online environment.
- Proficient in using technology for virtual instruction, including video conferencing, learning management systems, and educational software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in special education.
