Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our East Central Region leadership team in the role of Program Director Behavioral Science.
The Program Director Behavioral Science is responsible for oversight of programmatic implementation, sustainment, and growth and assists with the vision of the department and / or program.
The Program Director provides psychological diagnostic evaluations of patients referred to the department for care and works with colleagues, trainees, fellow team members, and others as needed in advising, assisting, and / or treating patients in need of psychological assessments and treatments.
This leader provides supervisory oversight of trainees and / or midlevel providers as requested. They will act as a resource person for the services provided and for the team.
The Program Director requires knowledge of the behaviors, developmental stages, physical and emotional needs, life cycle changes, culture, and comfort and care appropriate to the population served.
Populations served by the department are identified in the department's scope of service.

Candidate Qualifications
Candidates for the position will be selected from a diverse pool and will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies :
- Doctoral degree in an applied Psychology; Current Indiana License in Psychology; Current endorsement of Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP), and experience in a medical setting required.
- Requires expertise in teaching.
- Requires effective oral and written communications skills.
- Requires knowledge of the accepted practices, procedures, and techniques applicable to psychology / neuropsychology. Requires administrative / analytical skills necessary to plan, design and direct the Behavioral Science training of Family Practice Residents.
- Requires interpersonal skills necessary to interface effectively with Residents, patients, and staff of Ball Memorial Hospital.
- Must have the ability and flexibility in attention to daily job requirements.
- Must have the ability to handle several duties simultaneously.
- Must have the ability to independently develop resolutions to problematic situations using sound judgment and discretion.
- Must have the ability to administer, score, and interpret psychological and neuropsychological diagnostic instruments.
- Must have the ability to analyze, interpret, and explain psychological, social, and behavioral factors involved in patient presentation.
