Job Summary :
Interim HealthCare of Ann Arbor is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a CNA / Home Health Aide / Caregiver in Howell, Michigan.
This is a full-time, salaried position in the healthcare / medical industry and will primarily involve providing one-on-one care to clients in their homes.
The ideal candidate will be an individual who is committed to providing high-quality care and improving the lives of those they serve.
Please note : The client has several pets, including cats and a bird, so being comfortable around animals is a must!
Compensation & Benefits :
The compensation for this position is $17 to $19 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, Interim HealthCare offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan.
Responsibilities :
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting
- Help with mobility by assisting with transfers, ambulation, and exercises
- Prepare and serve meals according to client’s dietary restrictions and preferences
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client’s health or behavior to the supervising nurse or case manager
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Follow all infection control protocols and maintain client confidentiality
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families, as well as with the interdisciplinary team
Requirements :
- Active CNA certification in the state of Michigan (CNA ONLY)
- At least 6 months of experience as a CNA, home health aide, or caregiver
- Knowledge of personal care tasks, including but not limited to, bathing, toileting, and grooming
- Ability to lift and transfer clients with varying levels of mobility and agility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
