Job description

You will be working in a home with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as substance abuse issues.

These individuals come to us from jail and are with us in lieu of being in jail or the state hospital.

The emphasis of this position is cleanliness, sanitation and overnight monitoring of property. In your role, you provide daily household deep cleaning and an openness to assist clients in emergent or happenstance situations.

We ask that you complete daily cleaning of site while providing support for our residents if needed. Since the position is overnight, they are generally asleep.

Duties :

• Perform deep cleaning duties to maintain cleanliness and appearance of facilities
• Sweep and mop floors
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
• Clean and sanitize kitchens, including stoves, refrigerators, sinks, counters & cabinets
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
• Clean windowsills and mirrors
• Replenish supplies

Experience :

Previous experience cleaning commercial, hospital or homelike settings preferred

As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to providing a clean and safe environment will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our clients, employees and visitors.

Requirements :

• Come to work prepared, in uniform and with badge
• Deep and thorough cleaning of bathrooms, kitchen and other common areas
• Conduct safety checks of onsite clientele
• Report any missing or broken items
• Request depleted inventory
• Contact appropriate assistance for crises or emergent situations
• Proven experience as a Cleaner or similar role
• Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
• Ability to stay awake during your shift
• Excellent time management skills
