Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse provides high quality nursing services to community residents based on each resident's individual service plan and physician's orders.
What will I do every day?* You will monitor residents' well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition* Effectively supervise departmental operations on a day-to-day basis* Assess residents to identify their physical, psycho social and environmental needs* Communicate, identify, report and document problems* Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and respond appropriately* Identify and recommend other disciplines needed for quality care of the resident* Document evaluation f nursing interventions including resident response* Assess resident and staff knowledge base of disease process, treatment regimen and / or medication administration and assist with care plans* Provide resident care activities under the direction of the Assisted Living Director* Assist with Medication Management Program* Participate in the Assisted Living performance improvement process* Present required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates* As well as perform other related duties as requiredWhat will I need to be successful in this role?
- Be a graduate of an accredited RN program* CPR / Frist Aid Certified* Have a minimum of one-year experience as a nurse in a senior care setting* Have some Skilled Nursing (preferred)Special Requirements / Certifications I may need?
- Current active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice* Hands on experience with ports and Huber needles a plus* Experience in wound care* Hands on experience with Dialysis shunts a plusWhat's in it for me?
