University Honors at the University of Tennessee Knoxville invites applications for two open-rank non-tenure track faculty positions.
We seek dynamic and innovative educators with a terminal degree from any discipline who can inspire and engage high-achieving students through a problem-solving and design-thinking pedagogical approach.
Specifically, we hope for candidates with an exceptional track record of teaching across a range of complex problems (., local and Tennessee application of UN 2030 goals;

These 9-month appointments will be primarily instructional (75%), with a portion of the role (25%) devoted to curriculum curation and related service activity (.
searches, student mentoring, outreach). The positions do not include research expectations or any type of dual appointment, although the scholarship of teaching and learning is encouraged.
The appointments will be eligible for a renewable 1, 3 or 5-year contract dependent on experience and qualifications. The anticipated start date is either January 1, 2025 or August 1, 2025.
University Honors at the University of Tennessee Knoxville serves just over 2000 honors scholars (typically the top 5% at the institution) from varied disciplines from our 11 colleges.
