ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize Synergi software to analyze, model, and optimize electric distribution systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency in planning and operations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, operations, and project management, to ensure seamless integration of distribution planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utility clients and regulatory bodies, to understand project requirements and ensure successful execution.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations based on analysis and planning outcomes, effectively communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support the development of long-term distribution plans, incorporating load growth, distributed energy resources (DER), and system upgrades, aligned with utility goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in evaluating and implementing new technologies and methodologies to improve distribution system performance and resilience.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects and system enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in distribution planning, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and fostering professional development within the team.
  • Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and stay current with industry advancements.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4-10 years of experience in electric utility distribution planning.
  • Proven expertise in using Synergi software for distribution analysis and modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of electric utility operations, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software tools.
  • Highly organized with strong project management abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs and client interactions.
