We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for a full-time position working with middle school students in the Philadelphia, PA area.
This position will begin immediately and continue through the - school year. Eligible candidates must be a certified Special Education teacher in Pennsylvania and have up-to-date PA clearances.
Qualifications :
- Must have a Special Education Certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- Must have a Bachelors degree (at minimum)
- Must have current, up-to-date clearances FBI FingerprintsPA Criminal BackgroundPA Child AbuseAct , Act 24Mandated Reporter Training
Responsibilities :
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
- Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities
- Providing accommodations and modifications as needed ot support student success
- Collaborating with other educators, parents, and outside service providers to design and deliver instruction that meets the unique academic, social and emotional needs of each students
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Participating in the evaluation and revision of IEPs as necessary
- Providing support and guidance to students with disabilities to help them achieve their goals
- Communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their childs progress and needs
