Targeted patient ratios are 1 : 7 Unit consists of 20-21 beds. Patients require less acute care, hence the reasoning for higher patient ratios.

More of a "nursing home" setting. No telemetry monitoring, no blood products, no Bipap if it's not long term.

For 48-hour contracts, OT is paid out after 48 hours

Must have the following requirements :

• Pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment
• BLS - must be able to read and interpret strips
• Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on the HRRU unit unless PAPR is offered / needed.1.5 years exp, exp in a level 1 or 2 preferred
• Travel experience preferredEPIC EXP REQUIRED

Unit may participate in team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs partner together to care for a group of patients. The goal of this model is to divide the work and not the patients, ultimately improving both the workload and patient care.

Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary nursing depending on the needs of the unit.

Unit Details : 20-21 bedsThese are long length of stay patients who have been transferred to this unit as they are waiting on guardianship, placement, insurance pending, etc.
